This family history website is dedicated to the memory of my father, Ken Standfield

31st July 1929 ~ 19th April 2006

I have traced my Standfield ancestors back to the Dorset parish of Bere Regis in the 1730s. From that point onwards, many members of the Standfield family stayed in the village and its surrounding area. There are still some Standfields living in Bere Regis today.

Although my website is called StandfieldTree, I have also included details of my Puckett and Samways ancestors on here, who were also Dorset families. These surnames are on my grandmother's side of the family - her name was Nellie Gladys Samways and she married my grandfather, Levi William Standfield, in 1925.

The section in the menu called "Archives" contains information I have transcribed from various original documents held at the County Records Office in Dorchester - it includes wills, lunatic asylum admission papers and other material. Please note, this section is accessible by password only (you can request this via the Contact option in the menu).
